ri-former® Modular Diagnostic Station

A modular diagnostic system offering the optional modules which can measure blood pressure (NIBP), temperature, and with centralised electricity power supply it can support up to 3 handles, each equipped with 7 different interchangeable heads: otoscope, ophthalmoscope, retinoscope, dermatoscope, tongue blade holder, nasal speculum or lamp holder.

Design options

ri-former® is available in the following design options:

  • Rail design is designed to attach to a rail, either horizontally or vertically. It comes with 2 handles and ri-spec® ear specula dispenser.
  • Mobile base is made of higher-quality stainless steel pole, which is height adjustable (105 – 130 cm / 41.3 – 51.2 in), with effortless mobility facilitated by low-friction castors, antistatic properties, and two lockable castors (75 mm / 3 in) with a diameter of 54 cm / 21 in. It comes with 2 handles and a ri-spec ear specula dispenser.
  • Wall design is designed to be attached to the wall. It comes with a choice of 1 or 2 handles and includes a wall mounting plate, plugs and screws.

Diagnostic handles

Centralised power supply supports up to 3 diagnostic handles which are ergonomically designed with rheotronic® which provide continuously adjustable brightness as well as manual switching on and off.

The diagnostic handles are available with a choice of Riester ri-scope® L and EliteVue instrument heads with a choice of LED or Xenon bulbs:

  • ri-spec integrated ear specula dispenser - for the otoscope and nasal speculum, you can choose between 5 funnels for 5 different specula sizes; this offers the possibility of using a new speculum for each examination and is easy to refill and disinfect.
